The world of Crop's
Belgium
- Crop's Headquarters & Factory Ready Meals
- Factory location: Ooigem
Ooigem is home to the Crop’s headquarters, offices, and R&D department. This is the place where ideas come to life. Continuous iterations of solutions and recipes are tested to eventually become frozen products that excel in quality, taste, packaging design, and convenience. This location also has its own production site where ready meals and the so-called added value products (such as smoothie mixes, grain mixes with seasoning, bakes, ...) are being prepared.

This crisp harvest is later frozen at the Geer factory, which also prepares products such as pasta, rice, and grain.

Arilje, a town located in close proximity to our Serbian factory, is called the world’s raspberry capital, involving the vast majority of the local population in growing, harvesting, and preparing these precious fruits. Produced under greenhouses and tunnels, the fruits are then frozen and transported to the harbour in freezer truck, about 120 km from there. By working in close collaboration with local NGOs and social organisations, we aim to increase health and social security of the farmers and workers on the field.
Costa Rica

- Acreage: 65.000 ha
- Climate: tropical rainforest climate, warm and humid all year with a lot of rain
- Produce: pineapples, papayas
Nestled in the district of the Sarapiqui canton, our Costa Rican factory stands between plantations of the sweetest varieties of the crowned head of fruit: the pineapple. Circularity is at the heart of the whole production process; rainwater gets purified in a system of natural pools to cater for the factory's water supply, while cattle are raised in the unplanted fields. A preserved jungle neighbouring the plantation brings lush flora and local fauna together in an effort to preserve biodiversity.
